When we turn to Christ and live from our spirit we will begin to see others from the right perspective. What you are doing when you walk away when you’re angry is allowing your spirit to regain control of your soul – in order to get the right perspective with God again and do what you really want to do in your heart – what you know in the deepest places of your heart to be the right and proper thing to do, rather than fly off the handle and say or do something that you will regret. The soul is like that sometimes. You’ve got to get a handle on that. The first step in living from your spirit is to start acting like you are. So, when you are feeling mad, upset, stressed, just walk away. Storm off if you have to – get away from the situation as fast as possible. Running away from someone might be bad, but it won’t be as bad as saying or doing something worse in the heat of the moment. Get alone, calm down, and figure out your next move. What we say and do is extremely important, it matters, we matter, so practice patience by forcing yourself to, and go, think and pray, and come back when you know what to do and say.
