Tolerance And Allowance

There is a difference between Tolerance and Allowance.  Tolerance says that no idea or action is right or wrong and that I will accept you, however you live, because I am tolerant of you.  God doesn’t work this way (and neither does the way he set up life…).  God operates on Allowance.  Allowance says there are things that are right and things that are wrong.  There are actions and ways of living and ideas that are right and some that are wrong.  Allowance says, that even though you are doing things wrong (sinning), I choose to love you anyway – not love your sin – but love you.  Both Tolerance and Allowance let others come to them – they both let others in.  But Allowance actually runs to another – especially when the other has done wrong – and embraces them with open arms.
